Maggie Lyon

Instructor, Studio Assistant

Maggie Lyon is an Austin-based contemporary painter and curator. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Maggie’s journey led her to Texas State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art in 2019 with a concentration in Painting and minor in Fashion Merchandising. Her time in Austin has been spent managing art galleries, organizing art exhibitions, and pursuing her painting practice through various group and duo exhibitions. Maggie enjoys painting a variety of subjects tied together by her vibrant use of color and unique perspective; inspired by pop culture, nostalgia, and female empowerment.

Maggie is a member of the largest women’s collective in Austin, atxGALS, and you can find her available artwork at The Cathedral and Clover + Maven in Austin, TX.
