Accessibility Statement
At The Mosaic Workshop, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, feels comfortable and supported at our studio.
Physical Accessibility
Location: The workshop is held in an air-conditioned studio with ramped access and a handicapped parking space.
Mobility Needs: Our workspace accommodates wheelchairs and other mobility devices, and seating options are available. Please let us know in advance if additional arrangements are needed. Yes! We have a ramped garage door entrance, and the studio is flat and level. Our doors are all 34" wide. The bathroom is 70" x 88" and will comfortably accommodate a wheelchair.
Assistance: If you require assistance carrying materials or tools, our staff is happy to help.
Sensory and Learning Accessibility
Lighting and Noise: The studio is a brightly-lit environment. While our studio may include the sounds of crafting, we strive to minimize loud or disruptive noises particularly during workshops.
Instruction: Our instructors use clear, step-by-step verbal instructions, with a printed worksheet and visual demonstrations provided. Spanish worksheets are available.
Other Accommodations
Service Animals: We can only allow certified service animals in the studio for your pets’ safety, as this is a functioning mosaic studio with inevitable glass on the floor as workshops commence.
Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are available on-site. The bathroom is 70" x 88" and will comfortably accommodate a wheelchair.
If you have specific needs or require additional accommodations, please contact us at info@themosaicworkshop.org or our contact form. We are dedicated to making your experience enjoyable and accessible.
