FAQ

  • The Mosaic Workshop was founded by J Muzacz and Carmen Rangel in 2019, starting with a small community grant to support a few mosaic workshops, which turned into the creation of our first-ever mosaic mural of Roosevelt “Grey Ghost” Williams. See the mural at 2324 Studios in Austin, Texas.

Since then, we’ve been hosting Intro Mosaic Workshops every week and introducing hundreds of people to the beautiful medium of mosaics.

  • We also have an incredible team of local artists who bring the mosaic magic every day at the studio!

Intro Mosaic Workshops are led by Heather Kruger and Maggie Lyon, two talented artists passionate about mosaics. Team Building workshops are often led by J Muzacz or Veronica Ceci, and Litzy Rea Valdez leads our monthly Español Workshop.

  • We’re open every day 11 am – 6 pm for Drop-Ins with pricing starting at just $25, allowing anyone to come and create on your schedule.

Our custom mosaic commissions enhance private homes, commercial businesses, and public spaces. Our unique mosaic mural process allows people of all ages and abilities to participate in creating professional public art.

We are one of the only full-service mosaic studios in the country, handling large-scale installations from community engagement to fabrication and installation.

  • If you’re interested in working with us, send your resume and portfolio. Our availability fluctuates seasonally and depending on current commissions, but we love to work with local artists and creatives!
