Randi Wardian
Studio Assistant
Randi Wardian is a native Austinite who has been making mosaics since April 2025. After taking a Mosaic Introductions class at The Mosaic Workshop, she knew after a lifetime of searching she’d finally found her medium and a crow-like obsession with shiny broken glass and tiles followed.
As a long-time nerd and bookworm, she is captivated by high fantasy and the endlessly inspiring stories they tell. Good triumphing over evil, the inner hero/villain battle, community over individualism, and transformative journeys are just some of the themes referenced in her works. The fantasy genre has always been an escape for her, a safe place with which to imagine a different life of magic and mystery.
She frequently vends at various art markets throughout the year in Austin, is a member of the Austin Mosaic Guild, and recently started experimenting with fused glass.
In her spare time, Randi is happiest in the company of very good trees (like any good Hobbit). She enjoys spending time with her pets, playing the flute, pouring over medieval art, and loves a well-made cold brew coffee. She also occasionally dabbles in gouache, watercolors, and urban sketching.
