Stefanie Distefano is a community artist whose mosaics add to the glittery mix of art in Austin and Smithville, Texas. From handmade ceramic roses, to huge swirling mirrored rose petals, roses define her work. Other worlds, and the greatness within our own world— are most often the subjects of her art. In her mosaics, these themes tell a story when seen from a distance, and many small stories, rich with intimacy and details, when examined closely.
