Workshop and Events Calendar
Sunday, October 25, 11am – 12pm OR 1:30 – 2:30pm
Casa Neverlandia, 305 W Milton St, Austin, TX 78704
Explore Casa Neverlandia, Mosaic Fest Featured Artist James Talbot’s one-of-a-kind home. Originally a small bungalow, Talbot has transformed the house into a three-story art installation bursting with imagination and whimsy. His sculptural ferrocement work and intricate mosaics integrated into the house are the perfect inspiration. The tour also includes a peek inside Talbot’s studio, where he continues to develop new projects and ideas.
The tour lasts about an hour, and people are encouraged to bring cameras. RSVP now and pay the $15 fee in cash at the door.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
With a BA in Architecture from Rice University, Talbot worked for years as a designer and builder of unique and whimsical children’s environments. Many of his works exhibit a childlike sense of playfulness and evoke a deep sense of wonder and delight. Raised in the military, Talbot has traveled the world, and the influences of the cultures and places in which he’s lived continue to permeate his art.
