Join mosaic artist and astrologer Leah Shirley for Mirror & Myth, a workshop that blends hands-on mosaic making with personal ritual. This workshop centers on the archetype of Venus, goddess of artists and creators, explored through guided discussion and the creation of a beautiful 6-inch mosaic mirror artwork.
The workshop will begin with a conversation on the creative invitations of Venus, with a special focus on the mirror as her primary symbol. Leah will then guide a short demonstration, followed by a supported mosaic-making session using mirror and glass tile on wood substrates.
Designed as a space for reflection, creativity, and connection, Mirror & Myth invites you to slow down, make something beautiful with your hands, and explore your relationship to Venus in both your birth chart and your daily life. Each participant will leave with a unique mosaic mirror — a meaningful object to bring beauty and intention into your home, workspace, or daily rituals. No prior mosaic or astrology experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.

About the Instructor
Leah Shirley is a mosaic artist, astrologer, and educator based in Austin, TX. Her practice explores themes of surface, texture, and light, embracing a visual language that blends myth, astrological symbolism, and personal narrative. She creates enduring works in glass, ceramic, and stone through her mosaic studio, Permanent Flower. She has been a consulting astrologer since 2019 and received her MFA in Sculpture & Extended Media from the University of Texas, Austin in 2022.
