Join mosaic artist and astrologer Leah Shirley for Mirror & Myth, a workshop that blends hands-on mosaic making with personal ritual. This workshop centers on the astrology of the Spring Equinox, considered the astrological new year.
This workshop will begin with a guided discussion on the creative invitations of Aries season and its significance as the astrological new year. Leah will then guide a short demonstration, followed by a supported session where you will create a beautiful 6-inch mosaic artwork using mirror and glass tile on wood substrates.
Designed as a space for reflection, creativity and connection, Mirror and Myth invites you to slow down, make something beautiful with your hands, and explore the impact of the current astrology on your birth chart. Everyone has Aries somewhere in their birth chart, and this workshop will give you a deepened understanding of how you can work with this energy. Each participant will leave with a unique mosaic mirror — a meaningful object to bring beauty and intention into your home, workspace or daily rituals. No prior mosaic or astrology experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.
Enjoy two handcrafted, alcohol-free organic mocktails along with your workshop, infused with calming and energizing botanicals to help you feel present and connected throughout the night.

About the Instructor
Leah Shirley is a mosaic artist, astrologer, and educator based in Austin, TX. Her practice explores the intersections of light, material, and myth. She creates enduring works in glass, ceramic, and stone through her mosaic studio, Permanent Flower. She has been a consulting astrologer since 2019 and received her MFA in Sculpture & Extended Media from the University of Texas, Austin in 2022.
