This mosaic celebrates friendship and cultural connection between Mexico and Texas. Inspired by Zacatlán's "Queen of the Apples" tradition honoring hardworking Indigenous women, the mural features a China Poblana and a Texas cowgirl modeled after The Mosaic Workshop co-founder Carmen Rangel. The two figures face each other across the river, united by a bridge that symbolizes art, hope nad unity beyond borders.

Artist Mary Carmen Olvera Trejo and her Vitromurales team from Zacatlán, México were invited to participate in Mosaic Fest 2025, creating this piece to represent two worlds meeting through art. The piece was placed at the final open wall at the Holly Commons open-air mural gallery.
