Zoe Axelrod

Studio Manager, Designer

Zoe Axelrod (any pronouns) is a versatile designer with a background in graphic design, HTML/CSS, and UX/UI. They began working with Muzacz in 2021 and have since pixelated & templated dozens of mosaic murals, designed the 700-page monolith ATX Urban Art (2022), and applied for truly countless grants. Now that The Mosaic Workshop has become a main endeavor, she helps keep the studio running along with supporting Muzacz’s public art practice… And any other crazy projects we’re doing now.

As co-founder and designer of Ringtone Mag, a blog covering the hyperpop & internet music scene, Zoe makes delightfully gaudy graphics and post-ironic MLP Blinkies for the site.

Zoe experiments with all forms of creative pursuits like chainmail, jewelry, Ren faire costumery, bookbinding, and the lost art of Mii-making. Through it all, she imbues everything she creates with a playful, flamboyant flair, never letting her work (or herself) take life too seriously.
