We All Ride Workshops: Volunteers needed!
Video by Derek Burton
We’re creating a bike-themed collaborative mosaic mural, and we need your help!
This new mosaic artwork titled “We All Ride” will be permanently installed outside the new Travis County Civil and Family Courts Facility at 18th and San Antonio, depicting imagery encouraging healthy movement and great, safe streets in Austin, sharing the UNITY in community that comes with riding your bike!
Over the next month We’ll be hosting workdays at Something Cool Studios where volunteers, especially bike riders in the community, can help place glass tile “pixels” into grids (just like that picture above), getting the murals ready for installation. The two expansive mosaic murals will be comprised of nearly 100,000 tiles combined!
It’s super low key — no experience necessary! Anyone of any age can do it with a little patience. Pop in for an hour or two whenever available, see calendar below for “We All Ride” workshop times.

It would be awesome if local bike groups stopped by before, during, or after one of your social rides! There’s ample bike parking in front, or just pull around into the backyard. We always try to have refreshments and snacks on hand ;)
Please give us a heads up if you’re coming as a group, just so that we can be prepared for about how many people to expect. We can accommodate up to 20 people at a time working in the studio, with more room out back to hang out. Appreciate all y’all organizers and riders a great deal — growing, sharing and contributing to the thriving culture of bicycling of all kinds in Austin!
Thank you and see you soon in the studio!
Ride safe,
J :)
