ArtsResponders Mural

Thanks to everyone who has come out so far to help on the new mural at 2400 E Cesar Chavez.

Read more about the ArtsResponders program in conjunction with the ESB Mexican American Cultural Center on the Spark page. And follow The Mosaic Workshop on Instagram to stay updated about volunteer opportunities to help finish the mural!

The depiction of a masked Afro-Latina model in the mural serves as a constant reminder to the community to be safe and wear masks, and hopefully reminds us of all we learned during the pandemic. The mural location is a public-facing wall at 2400 E. Cesar Chavez parking lot on the 2nd Street side, half a block west of Pedernales. The mural is located in a part of East Austin near the Juan Raul Plaza, home to the Juan in a Million restaurant that has been a gathering place for the East Austin Mexican American Community.
