Latinitas
For two years now, Latinitas has commissioned us to create portraits of Austin’s most courageous female leaders of color for their annual Purple Party. The first series in 2021 depicted a handful of women in stunning mosaic, along with a massive mural tribute to Ana “Technomama” Sisnett.
The second series of portraits, completed in 2022, featured seven honorees, all unveiled at Latinitas’s 20th anniversary Purple Party. We hope we can partner with Latinitas in 2023 to showcase the accomplishments of even more of these talented women.

Latinitas’s portraits not only honor these women, but they also teach the young women Latinitas serves about new role models in their own communities that they can look up to. It’s been an incredibly rewarding and tangible way of giving thanks to these women, acknowledging their hard work and showing how impactful and valuable they are — just like a work of art.
